 Multiple therapies for easier breathing

The MetaNeb® System is a therapeutic device that helps enhance normal mucus clearance and resolves or prevents patchy atelectasis. Patients who may benefit include those with one or more of the following disease states: Asthma, Bronchiectasis, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Cystic Fibrosis, Emphysema and other disease states affecting respiratory health. The MetaNeb® System is indicated for the mobilization of secretions, lung expansion therapy and the treatment and prevention of pulmonary atelectasis, and can also provide supplemental oxygen when used with compressed oxygen.

The MetaNeb® System offers three therapies in one device: lung expansion, secretion clearance and aerosol delivery. CHFO (Continuous High Frequency Oscillation) mode is a pneumatic form of chest physiotherapy that delivers medicated aerosol while oscillating the airways with continuous pulses of positive pressure.  In CPEP (Continuous Positive Expiratory Pressure) mode, The MetaNeb® System provides medicated aerosol combined with continuous positive pressure to assist in holding open and expanding the airways.

The MetaNeb® System provides a platform from which both CPEP and CHFO can be administered contiguously. This composite therapy is referred to as "MetaTherapy® Treatment".
